How to Clean a Vape Pod

A pod kit does not need a deep clean every day. Clean a vape pod when the flavour is muddy after a flavour change, when the contacts are wet, or when the mouthpiece is sticky. Cleaning will not save a burnt coil. If it tastes burnt, replace the pod.

What to do

When the coil is done, fit a new one from Vaporesso pods or OXVA pods and prime it. A clean battery with a tired coil still tastes tired.

• Take the pod out and tip leftover liquid back into the bottle only if it is the same flavour and still clear. If it looks dark, bin it.
• Wipe the mouthpiece and the metal contacts with a dry tissue. A cotton bud gets into the corners.
• If you are changing from a strong menthol to a soft fruit, rinse the empty pod with warm water, shake it out, and leave it to dry fully before you refill. Water left in the wick will mute the new flavour.
• Do not run the battery under a tap. Wipe the slot only.
• Do not use washing-up liquid inside a pod. The taste stays.
