Pod Kit Airflow and Vaping Modes

Vape airflow is how much air joins the draw. Closed, or a small hole, is a tight mouth-to-lung pull. Open is a looser restricted-lung pull. On a nic salt, start tighter. A wide-open slider on a 20mg salt often feels hot and can spit.

A mode button is separate. On kits that have one, it switches a power preset or lets you set watts. It does not change the flavour recipe. It changes how hard the coil is driven.

A sensible starting point

The XROS Pro and Xlim Pro 3 are the adjustable kits if you want a screen. The XROS Mini 3 is the simpler one if you only need the slider. Liquid for both is a 50/50 bottle from nic salts.

• Nic salt, 0.8 ohm or above: airflow mostly closed, wattage at the low end of the coil’s printed range.
• 0.6 ohm pod: airflow a little more open, nicotine at 10mg rather than 20mg if 20mg feels sharp.
• A blinking light usually means the battery is low, the pod is not seated, or the device has cut out to protect the battery. Reseat the pod before you assume the coil is dead.
