Why Is My Vape Leaking?

Sky Vapes

A vape leaking into a pocket is almost always the pod, not a faulty battery. Liquid gets out through a loose bung, an overfilled pod, a cracked seal, or a coil that has flooded.

Check these first

If it gurgles, take the pod out, wipe the contacts, and blow gently through the mouthpiece onto a tissue. That clears a flooded coil. If the pod is cracked, replace it. Spare pods for the kits we sell most are under Vaporesso pods and OXVA pods.

Condensation on the mouthpiece is normal. A wet pocket is not. If liquid keeps appearing after a new pod and a proper fill, stop using that battery and look at a replacement kit in pod kits.

  • The fill bung is pressed flat. A corner left up will leak in a bag.
  • The pod is not filled to the top. Leave a small air gap.
  • The pod is clicked fully into the battery. A half-seated pod weeps from the base.
  • The airflow is not wide open on a thin 50/50 salt. A looser airflow can pull liquid through the coil.
  • The coil is not weeks old. A tired wick floods more easily.
